Ok games without trials have something to hide and the face of mankind is no different ...

Its basicaly like playing quake with thousands of bots i couldent find any role play at all as for pvp trying to shoot someone in a lag induced rage while they dance arround you is rather annoying the plus side is they cant shoot you either :-/

Not one of the best games i have played but it gets points for origionality theres not many like this ... apart from doom and quake and half life etc but they arnt classed as mmorpg

I came close to getting an account because it is a great concept of a game. Before buying I watched some videos of gameplay (absent from the site, there's no real "preview" of what you're getting) and found that the game is a wreck that's been close to stagnant for over a year. I'll get the trial when it comes out, but I doubt I'll pay 9 euros for a game that should still be in beta.

Games without trials are usually either A) So good they know they don't need a trial and will have plenty of players (I.E. PSU) or B) Suck so bad they know that people wouldn't actually pay for them if they got to try them free first.

Somehow I have always figured FoM doesn't have a free trial due to the former not the later.

I know they say they are in Beta so I didn't expect much.  The game play is very different and the users that have played for what appears to be years stated that learning curve of the game is high.  The game itself is soley based on an active player base which is a hand full.   If the active players that had "Rank" were to leave the game, there would be nothing that new players could do.

Why can new players not do anything if all the older players leave?  The game is driven strickly by players.  Therefore, missions are created and ran by the higher ranking players.  Therefore, when new players come in they must be given missions by higher ranking players.   In my opinion I think this is a splendid Idea.  We know that if all the players left we would have some busy developers runnig missions getting new players ranked.

I would seriously suggest that they provide at least a seven (7) day trial period.  IF you do chose to check out this game, be aware that if your in the US or other locations, you may be charged bank fees to exchange your money from US dollars.  For me, it came out to be 12.43 or something with a .34 cent bank charge.

Their billing system is very fast and somewhat easy to use.  Make sure you save that email for the "Billing" account you make.  The billing is a thrid party system that the game creaters use in lieu of having there own.  However, the linking between the two is very quick, once you pay you play.  But once again, just make sure you note the password it gives you and if you can, change it right away.

You can cancel your subscription immediatly if you wish and you will still be able to play for the month.  So, if you want to pay for a month trial for this game, just pay and play for a few days then cancel the subscription.  If your like me, you will feel the need to play regardless becasue you played for a month.

Hope this helps those that are interested in trying out this game.  If your looking for somehting totally different then I highly suggest at least paying the 13 dollars to give it a try.  But you may hate it!!!!  So don't try it just cause I say so.

DPS has been talking about a free trial with a civilian faction, which hoppefully will come with the Milestone 2 patches.

The game has nothing to hide. However the game is simply not made for free accounts. This would be bad for the gameplay and would generate alts and leaks in the economy. However with the civilian clothing (and hopefully faction) this changes. Players will be able to see some of the game. However still limited.

Strickly player generated content sucks... why?

People suck, and noone is going to take the time to generate content for YOUR ass unless it helps them...

There has been no date set for MS2 for months. The game is a dead horse that needs a miracle to revive.

Also, player based missions suck because there's only 50 people online at peak hours. Thats only a few people per faction. I know I'd love to make missions in a game, but my options would be limited with 0 Mobs and 50 people online.

I do believe in having some trials for games because you can see if you want to start playing the game or not. Games like Puzzle Pirates have trials for their members and I saw that it was really bad so I didn't pay for it

Point still stands, the game has less people then most closed betas.
