I don't know. For being over 11 years old it still looks decent. If they could get in there and clean the animations it would have more polygons than WoW. :P

Worst looking mounts I ever seen. First off WTF a steel plate thing on front them? It looks like it's cutting through their front legs as they run and the run animation is terrible. I loved EQ but they got some bad designs once in awhile, especially if your going to be buying them off the cash shop you want something decent looking.

Get over yourselves. in 5 years MOST MMORPG'S will have some form of RMT so either quit playing them or roll with the punches. As long as it doesn't not interfere directly with them game there is no harm in it.

McQuaid must have seen that, thought "More nickel-and-diming our paying players!!! YES!!!!", jizzed himself, did a happy dance around his office and then called an emergency meeting for $25 mounts to be added ASAP.

Good ol' SOE... If there's one thing you can rely on them for, it's hopping on any opportunity they see to squeeze just a *little* more out of their players any way they can.

Just like TRH in WoW, $25 - about half the price of an entire game - for a single mount is utterly absurd.

And for those itching to say it... Yes, I know "I don't have to buy it." The price is ridiculous, regardless.

I actually saw 3 people riding these today and wondered why they looked so horrible. Regardless of how bad mounts are in EQ, the game overall is better than 90% of the garbage we see anymore. Seriously. I gladly pay to play EQ over WAR, WoW, SWG, Aion, VG, EQ2, etc. There is population, there is actual content you have to work for, and outside of the dated graphics and mechanics, it is overall better than most other games save maybe DAOC and EVE. Granted a couple are "better" for gameplay but they have no population or no progression. You might as well play Mount and Blade or Torchlight.
