On June 5, 2004 Sony Online Entertainment held the first-ever EQ Guild Summit. At this event the EQ devs listened to what nearly 70 guild members, guild leaders and press reps had to say about the game including ideas, criticism and praise.

SOE has just released a report on this event which sums up the changes that are going to be made to the game as a result of the summit.  The have declared immediate changes that will appear in the next patch as:

• Corrections to Collision
• Continued re-tuning of Gates of Discord
• Changes to the Mouselook feature which will allow for more control
• Voice Over added to the Character Creation process
• The addition of a /guidehelp command which allow for communication and feedback with the guide program
