This week we got to know Designer Carly Towle also known as Xenaida from the EverQuest Development Team a little better. How long have you worked for SOE? Hum, I started in August 2001, so however long that is. =) What other jobs have you held while working for SOE? I started out as a Game Master for EQ, and I did that for about a year and a half. It was great working on so many servers, including being present for the launch of Stormhammer and serving the Brell and Sullon Zek servers. What work did you do before coming to SOE? How long have you been in the gaming industry? SOE is the first company I've worked for in the gaming industry. I started here when I was 20 years old so my jobs prior to this are a bit laughable! Did you need to have any specific education in the gaming industry to get where you are today? That's kind of a complicated question. I didn't have any formal schooling directly relating to my current job, however I had spent a great deal of time playing games and developing characters and ideas on my own, which has helped immensely. |
