First, I'd like to say your Preview button is broken because it just sent me to the Resource page and deleted a post I took two hours to compile. Secondly, to the people who post in here, this is for suggestions of what they should add to THIS site, not suggestions SoE should do with the game.

Let's see how fast I can retype this more concisely.

First of all --- http://everquest.allakhazam.com --- The EQ Bible. Anytime someone has a question about the game, they're pointed to this site. It's powered by http://lucy.allakhazam.com which is to make a long explaination short a parser of sorts which takes information on every spell, item, and update and compiles it into extremely detailed information on each. Lucy is the backbone for Allakhazam and most of the reason why it is so successful. It allows most things short of quest info to be updated automatically, keeping allakhazam as a monopoly on EQ information. Lucy was originally created by Kerasota but was later 'borrowed' and then finally bought about a year or two ago. To access every last speck of what it has to offer there's a fee of $3.50 a month but in the view of an absolutely BROKE rpg fanatic, it's worth it.

Secondly, http://www.eqtraders.com -- One of the things that Allakhazam limits you from without paying is recipies for tradeskills. This is the cookbook to end all cookbooks. It's not always 100% accurate like Allas is but that's because it's entirely made of community-given and researched information which makes it all the more impressive. Besides, it's run by Niami Denmother primarily, a halfling who's actually been on television once or twice due to the success of her website when, I believe it was cnn, did a story on mmorpgs.

http://eq.crgaming.com is also worthy of note, though not as spectacular as the aforementioned. Originally it was known as eq.castersrealm.com (and for that matter had about half of the banner ads needed to sustain the website's upkeep). The information isn't all up-to-date, a well-known fact, but it has a few jewels despite that. The news is updated relatively often with information that can be hard to find elsewhere and is certainly interesting to read, and the Class areas really shine even for being so old. Namely the character creation, and the nice organization which other sites usually lack. Besides, it has nice art.

And last but certainly not least, http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq The Official EQlive forums. Use the "go to" dropdown menu to look at the complete list of forums available. The class boards are generally just home to griefers but other areas have some rather nice quirks, such as contests and fanart. A nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. ;)

And that's it for the General resource websites I do believe. There are class-specific message board websites out there, usually considered official though they bare no affiliation with Sony itself, but I don't know if they're appropriate to be posted on this site since they're not general-EQ resources. You can find links to them on the Class boards mostly in station.com's everquest forums I'm sure. Sites like TheRunes.net for enchanters, and The Safehouse (thesafehouse.org/forums) among others.

Peace and love, from Jemjem. And for cryin' out loud, fix or remove that preview button. *pout*
