I'm going to be playing Everquest after I'm finished updating.  I'm having a real hard time debating Human Cleric and Human Paladin. 

I know both are important classes, I'm just having a hard decision choosing.  I've always played Paladin, in every MMORPG I've played.  FFXI, EQOA, EQ2, WoW, any game that had a Paladin I played, I love playing a holy warrior for as long as I can remember.  I played a game called Shadowbane and loved a certain class called Prelate.  Ever since than, I've feel in love with the same type of class.  Heavy armor and Holy magic.  Since I'll be playing this game for a long time, I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. 

If this is the case I would say go paladin, but you will mostly be wanted to tank. If your on progression server that is... Normal server you will be solo alot I am guessing leveling with a merc. I posted as well on your other thread in LFgame. Oh yeah pally has alot of the same spells a cleric does with more stuns and an extra hp buff I think, but I am no expert.
