When downloading the 235MB file from the website, does one need to download large updates afterwards? Wanting to give this a try while I want for EQ2 to arrive, but I'm on a data cap! Thanks.

I think so, there is quite a few expansions. In fact, my EQ file is just over 5GB..

OK well that download seemed to be everything. My only problem now is that the client seems a little buggy. My mouse pointer is stuck in the top left corner of my screen and the application stops responding all the time

Your computer might be too powerful for the old EQ. Mine was buggy till I got the fix. Check the EQ support forums.
