There will be Squadron 42 single player campaign that you can do co-op. There will also be MMO hosted on RSI servers - persistent universe. Its all called - Star Citizen. So yes, SC is an MMO but it also has Single Player campaign that you can play offline/online/solo/co-op and it is an MMO. There will be 100 space sectors in MMO with a few planets in each.

There will be PvP etc. Similar to EVE except SC is action based, you'll have to control your ship in real time like in a flight simulator, there won't be any skills that you click on a bar and that you can train like in EVE. So its an MMO in real time flying real ships with real controls.

Thanks for asking my question, but his answer raised more questions, especially the part about instances because the way he was talking about stuff to do throughout the game will come into direct conflict with the way he was talking about how the 'instances' were setup.

For instance he talks about taking over astroid bases that are FFA but whats the point when you can just change instance to one where no one has taken over the base, which leads to actually taking over the bases non-consequencial.

Or say when a mercant whats to move his wares through space and gets ambushed by pirates whats to stop him changing instance before they engage?

I really LIKE the sound of this game but i was hoping of a more EVE/Jumpgate style of server setup, not multiple instances of the same sectors A.K.A GW1/Tera etcetc..

eric_w66 writes: Can someone do a transcript of this? For some reason 'video' has become the way to do things, and guess what, video is slow and large. I don't need to see people saying things, I care about what they say. So many news sites do the same thing, having a 5 minute video where a couple of paragraphs would tell the same story just as well. Thu Dec 20 2012 3:21PM Report

In reply to Roberts question about EVE Online's multiple character support.

Answer: You can have up to 3 characters per account but skill advancement can only occur on 1 of them at any one time (skills the character meets prerequisites to unlock can be unlocked regardless of which character is 'training').
