This is good news.  They have 300 bucks of my pledge money.  All I can say is those investors probably though oh they are never going to raise that kind of money.

If i was the Star Citizen devs i'd be dropping bricks now.. A: They will never ever be able to live up to the game that fans have built in their mind. B: These fans will set a new record in entitelment. Put these two together and i hope that the poor devs have a good in-house councelor.

I have no doubt it will bea good game... But seeing as a good bunch of people seems to think it is the comming of (insert diety here) they do not really stand a chance.

every single Chris Roberts game lived up to the hype and was highly enjoyable. This guy knows what he is doing.

Not every developer is full of empty promises and marketing spin,  the most recent big MMO releases demonstrate that hype and ads alone are worth nothing (e.g. Gw2)

You weren't invited to birthday parties when you were a kid were you?

Damn you are negative.

When the game comes out the amount of players who actually contributed money to the project will be such a small percentage of the playerbase that it won't even register. Investors had their bonuses clearly laid out when they chose their payment amount. Most will not demand more than simply that. Kickstarter game success ratios can be researched. Some have been very good little games upon release. I also believe that most who invest understand the risks. It is a venture and clearly demonstrated as such.

Well.. i am just saying.

Now i hope you all are right and i am worng and it actually manages to live up to everyones expectations. But my experince with the "average customer" tells me the odds are in my favour on this one.
