why no love for Elite Dangerous on this site? Star Citizen is very cool, but I think its more linear than Elite? Elite is a whole galaxy with 100 billion stars to explore, and the most innovative game ever when it came out in the 80's :) Check it out on kickstarter This time the innovations will be in the MMO aspect if it reaches 1.4 million, a mac version will be made I have waited more than 20 years for this game http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1461411552/elite-dangerous

Both games seems to be awesome, but the reality is that
SC have more than $7 millions and more millions with other investors Elite, at the mment, only have little more than 1$. We have to be in the reality, and in my opinion they need more money, much more, if they want to do this. I really hope that they obtain the amount of money for do that project. More competences means best products. but the difference that I belive more in SC is that. |

At this point they've actually got $2,539,668, converting from GBP to USD. That's a decent budget considering the scope of E:D, which is much less ambitious than Star Citizen. I backed both, along with Limit Theory and a bunch of other crowdfunded games throughout 2012. Currently Playing: EVE Online |

Originally posted by Arcona Braben does some crazy things in his games for sure. I still have fond memories of roaming around the galaxy in Frontier. But in the end the fractal generated universe end up just feeling... Generic. I mean what its the point of a huge universe if its all just random stuff? The MMO part of it sound interesting, but how well it translate from theory into practical gameplay only time will tell. |
