Hurshers writes: Great game, merciless community. For the competitive spirit. People saying there are problems with the combat are all Darkfall 1 players, comparing this to a game that doesn' exist. Best MMORPG combat in existence PERIOD. Sat Jul 25 2015 8:39PM
kdchan writes: After 3 years since the launch this game is still miles away from the gaergous Darkfall Online, not only the movements feel desynched with the skate effect, but is behind as content too. The mixed roles change nothing since the base core code was completely rewritten to accomodate a more casual playerbase, even if you choose to be a warrior or a bowman, all the skills have magic source with sparkling effects and big aoes. Forget a true player skill combat with these spells and skills. This watered version of the game was indeed needed cause the lack of resources and manpower the company suffer after the inevitable departure of the creator of the game (Razorwax). claus the original creator of Darkfall said that the never wanted Unholy Wars, ths it was a mistake. Now they cut out lots of thing and content to decrease the cost of the infrastructure needed to run the game and appeal to a large mass of users, like a small world with races that are the same 3d model with a different skin, big aoes so even a noob can hit something, task where you need to kill 1000+ mobs of the same type, safe zones everywhere, less bandwidth causing lag expecially during the few sieges that sometimes aoccur. The ceo of Av claimed that they can make DFUW better overtime and do not intend to restore the old game, but with the actual lacks of resources and underpayed developers, this wont happen either. An example was the combat patches, they made 4 changes and ask feedback to the community, everytime revert the changes because they screwed the movements, they dont' have a clue on what they are doing, these things should happen in alpha not in a fully released game. My opinion, after returning and tried the game several times is the same, this game is not worth a monthly fee and maybe neither as f2p would attract more people in thsi state. Customer service also is non existent cause their ams system with tickets is always broken and off-line and take them days to reply to a single issue or don't reply at all. Very disappointed. 2/10 Fri Jun 19 2015 2:19PM

Scrappy_Doo writes: Downgraged version of its predecessor. The combat is sluggish and the balance in the game is skewed. Its essentially a skill spam pvp game where you only have a selection of 6-8 skills that are useful. The combat is slow paced and game overall loses interest from a pvp standpoint early on. You have to kill 1000s of mobs of each kind just to get prowess in order to prep your toon for pvp and that isn't including crafting gear. The grind is less overall then the original game but it is monotonous and boring. Don't believe the fanbois of this game the game is hemoraging players and the fanbois know the game needs people so they are giving their sales pitch to sell the game since the game's own devs aren't advertising for it. Saidoken writes: Amazing game. Recently returned, and they've added so many improvements. Makes the game a lot more noob friendly, in a good way. Still hardcore at the top levels. You can get a endgame viable pvp character in a week, if you join a nice guild and they farm you through the prowess feats. Incredible Castle Sieges, Large Group PvP. Beautiful, seamless world. A combat system with no targeting, it feels like Oblivion or Skyrim, but massively multiplayer! I have 2 week free trials if you want, just message me. Sun Aug 17 2014 6:12AM
