I'm not sure why is it so difficult to grasp the fact that you do not work for the company...... or that you know their financial situation or the fact that you seem to think that getting a lot more subs is wast of money for the company. So first, I'll challenge you to the same question as I did last time. What if the company came out and said that they're doing PVE servers, it's done, completed, finished, what would your objection be to that? Would you tell them "hey why did you waste that money on getting more subs?" Second, let me remind you, that last real content update Darkfall has seen was in November of 2009, Conquer The Seas (don't you even dare try and say that Hellfreeze was a content patch). So... I don't even know where you get your argument about "should be working on the blah blah blah". Third I challenge you to give me one good reason, as a gamer, why PVE servers would be bad. And because you are incapable of putting yourself outside the company... you think you work for the company, imagine that "the company" got a team of 500 developers and 50 million dollars from ... Barrack Obama, to implement a PVE server asap. In other words, disregard all concerns for financial well being of the company and 'them wasting their time', and just focus on the issue as a gamer. Give me one good argument against PVE server alongside the normal server. And finally, we are both wasting our time. PVE servers will never happen, because this is Aventurine we're talking about, and I'm content with that. Even if they did implement it, I wouldn't play on it. Why I would like PVE servers is because eventually those PVE guys will start playing on PVP server as well. Bigger population = more fun. Unlike you, I've played, and still playing, Darkfall since the game launched, and I know full well the effects that a low population has on the gaming experience. See you in 2.0. |

I would shoot out an educated guess being a veteran and all, there will be vast safe zones. Mark this post so I can say I told you so...

Originally posted by ShakyMo If someone make a sandbox MMORPG like avatar, where you could take part in space, on land, being able to enter robots, like perpetuum and exit, be your self "real person" roming around vast world and is pve with optional pvp or choosing raider or mersenary faction to become full time pvp enabled. With fallout engaging combat and smart AI like in rage. I would gladly give my money for such entertainment. |

No I am in favour for safe areas in which PvE like for example instanced dungeons (which I know it is already a stretch for DF fanboys), but an entire server with no PvP is a no go area. DF doesn't make sense without PvP. |

Originally posted by znaiika One would think that the people trying to ram their pve only playstyle choice on a pvp specific game, which was never aimed at them in the first place, are the people with the ego problems quite frankly.
Want a pve sandbox? Then go lobby some developers with money to make one from scratch. Don't expect the community of an already existing PVP game to think it such a great idea when you propose that the team running their PVP game should spend time, money and lots of effort fundamentally changing the PVP game just because "ooh but I don't like pvp that much". |
