They are using the same servers (saves them money). I doubt that launch will be smooth though

Your at a very large disadvantage if you create a only aussie/nz clan since alot of people will be sieging during US hours.

What everyone has done for the most part is created a 'night crew' thats a group of aussie/nz players in a larger US clan, some  people will take your application just because your from a different time zone, it gives clans a advantage since they can defend 24 hours a day rather than just US prime time. 

In the current version of Darkfall, there is only one clan still alive and well that is specifically for late night players (which is ausie prime time), and that is The Nightcrow Tribe.
