Tibia News - Public Test Server Opens

Posted by Dana Massey on Nov 10, 2005  | 1 comments in our forums

The Tibia homepage announced that they have opened a public test server for players to use. The website also carries a note on updated terms of service rules.

Test Server: A fter some internal testing the test server is now open to the public. This time we need to test some technical adjustments we have made, so there are no new features to try out. All you need to do is login and have fun. However, all level doors have been locked, so you will be unable to solve most quests.

This time, we set up two test servers. All characters which play on an European world (e.g. Antica) can join the server "Testa" whereas all characters on an American world (e.g. Amera) are able to enter "Testera". Moreover, all characters who own a house on Antica will also own it on Testa; characters who own a house on Amera will also own it on Testera.

To log into the test server please make a copy of your Tibia folder, execute the copied Tibia client, check the option Test Server Login in the network preferences and login. You will then receive a patch for your client. The player data were taken from the backup of October, 31st, so you may have to use your old password. Please note that you will not be able to log into the official servers with the test version of the client!

If you should detect an error in the game, please report it to a tutor, counsellor or gamemaster.

Please understand that the test servers have only a limited capacity. Therefore, please try to join the test servers some hours later if you cannot log into it right away.

Updated Rules: he Tibia Rules have been updated. For a better understanding, we have elaborated the comments of many rules.

The comments of the name rules now include additional explanations concerning guild names. Also, the publishing of links is now officially considered to be advertising content which is not related to the game, so it may lead to a punishment. Note that this includes all photo album hosts. However, links that lead to the official website and the supported fansites, as well as links shown in the guild section of this website, if they do not violate other rules, are still allowed. For this reason we have also removed link section in the personal information on the account page.

Several minor adjustments have been made to most of the Tibia Rules. Therefore, we would like to ask everybody to read all of them again carefully and to follow them at all times in the game and on the website.
