I'll just comment on each point. Graphics can be good or bad dependong on where you are and if the people that created what you see had any skill. Sound can be very good people anyone can stream music and video into the game world. Role Playing in a RP are can be as good as anywhere else and have infinte possibilities. Value the game is free to get and I have managed to make about $800 off of it over the past few years, with much time spent not around it. Fun depends on if you like creating, being social, or finding ways to make your own fun with other people. Community I lowered because there are a lot of idiots and great people, just like real life its about what social group you suround yourself with. Performance/Lag can be very bad since each texture needs to be loaded, but once everything in an area is rezed it should be great. Just the first 5 minutes after enting an area for the first time are horrid. Customer service is bad if you use emails but if you call they are very friendly.

SL is what you make it. No platform gives you more freedom to create. Best virtual world ever.

Mostly everything in this game is based on Escorts, hookers, prostitution and gay fury animal fetish sex... oh and porn... hardcore and soft. The "Roleplay" of this game is to be a Strip club manager/bouncer or to be a Stripper/escort. Yes, there are other places that could be fun but there are no people in them. Mostly everyone hangs out at sex clubs, stripper joints and freebie shops. The coolest thing I found when I did a search for "Sci Fi" was a place called "Doomed Ship" which later on I found out it was a Alien tentical sex fetish gay club. I think it's a shame to have wasted all the talent of that area on "gay tentical sex". Yes, you could or can make anything you want but make sure it has to do something with Strippers and sex and you will get lots of traffic to your parcel no problem.

It is a Role-players fantasy come true. Simply amazing. The game play is truely endless.
Though you need a high end computer to enjoy it.

WARNING: This game requires an I.Q. higher than 80, an imagination, and the ability to do things without your hand being held. If you don't possess these then you need not apply-- go play WoW. If you do have the requirements, be prepared to spoil the point of every game you've ever played with the concept of Second Life. You will never go back to a normal, linear, closed game ever again(and if you do it doesn't last long before you back into SL). And for the record -- I don't spend money, and I don't RP in SL. Join a community that you're interested in.

This game was the most boring waste of time I've ever spent. It might be the fact of it being a "Real-life" game, but, it was just simply BORING. You even have to pay if you want to wear any other clothing than the standard clothing you have on.

Not for the stupid, this game requires a brain, and an open mind. Step beyond what you think you know and look into the future of the internet. Yes its quite ugly , damn there is a lot of money issues, blah blah blah, but what you are seeing is cyberpunk at its infancy, VR that you can get your mitts on. When we start plugging cables into ourselves to enhance our lives, SL people will be the first to adapt and move in in masss, because VR is what SL is all about. The 90% of people there who don't do anything but pron, buy crap, and pose? Are they not the same people who do it on the net now? Don't let the stupidity of the masses fool you, this is a creative tool, and nothing else out there like it.

Simply put, the game is what you make it. If you want roleplay, you have roleplay.. if you want combat, you can script a combat system and a bunch of guns or swords and go at it. A friend of mine just designed a fairly decent well textured spaceship that flies, shoots, has spinning turrets and kills people.. and he just made 400$ in a week selling the things. While 75% of SL is sex, the other 25% has some pretty great stuff to explore and check out. It's a different experience for everyone. You can literally do anything if you want.
