Hardest thing in SL is keeping track of exponential friends list...

Can anyone give a few words of advice for a newbie?

I want to find how to make dances and put them into dance balls. I understand I need to use Poser (or similar) to make the animations, then somehow get them into a script that will do synchronisation.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of what tools I need to get, or any tutorial or documents. I had no luck from within SL as animations are made with external software.

Many Thanks !

Angus

Hello, Try SEARCH>EVENTS>EDUCATION for an in-world class in animation using the free software from Avimator. I just cannot remember now who teaches it.

Just in case you weren't able to find some tutorials on animation yet here are a few links to some.

Reelgeek

SLTutorials

SL Universe - Good forums to browse for more info.

Fixed BVH Export Plugin for DAZ|StudioIn case you  want to use Daz Studio  instead.

Second Opinion Newsletter - Sometimes the Linden Newsletter has some good stuff in it. Mostly their tutorials are on videos now.

I hope some of that might help you out. :)

Oh and for pose balls you'll need an animation script inside them so it will run when someone "sits" on them.
