Good interview.. Sounds a lot like DAoC with the walls and choke points, which I think is awesome.
Wish they would have expanded how the AvA will work on a megaserver, how they are pulled in, how you can consistantly work with the same people, like you could with individual servers.

Well done Zenimax. I was very skeptical of ESO before today's big release of previews...however, I think I'm starting to have a change of heart. I'm a pretty hardcore WvWer in GW2, and I have to say ArenaNet has been pretty lackluster with updates and changes. Brian seems to be saying the right things to get me interested. The ideas for choke points, a living AvA environment, and everyone having some sort of acess to stealth are definitely some changes worth watching. The only thing I remain disappointed with is the lack of details of AvA. Skip the marketing crap, and let's get to specifics. What makes your AvA better than WvW in GW2?

AvA isn't open world PvP, it's RvR PvP. Open world PvP would being able to fight anywhere in the world, which they do not allow.
I guess in a way it is open world but it's misleading and confusing to the more traditional defination of World PvP. There is only 1 way to PvP in ESO and that is in the center via DAoC RvR (AvA).
Wait, how is this open PvP if its in closed spaces?!? I really hate it when a company feels the need to lie about their product, this falls in line with their saying it isnt instanced because they are calling instances campaigns.
Guess they are hoping to trick the large portion of the TES fanbase that are pissed at them into thinking the game is more like TES than DaoC.

Something he mentioned made me think of something. Is the abilitiles on your hotbar dependant on the weapon you have equipped? Because I like to carrying a sword and sling some spells at the same time. Am I going to have to equip a stave, wand, or something like that to use spells? That's really suck and be extremely unlike TES.

Off-topic: Do you film these interviews in Detroit? I'm always hearing sirens going off in the background.
