Mauerick writes: It's beautiful, immersive, has a friendly community and is a lot of fun. This is probably the most immersive MMO you're going to find. It's fully voice-acted, the world is and feels massive... it's everything I ever wanted in an MMORPG. Fri Jul 31 2015 3:25PM
NasherUK writes: If you go in expecting Skyrim/Oblivion online, you will be dissapointed. But this is about as close as your going to get in MMORPG format. While there are limitations (due to being online), much of the mechanics are very similar to the single player games.

A year on this is actually becoming a very good MMORPG though, maybe even the best. For an MMO to get turned around as much as this one has is almost unheard of. Usually when an MMO has a poor launch it's doomed.

The down sides are not enough focus on open world group content. The story is a little dull and while the world is quite big overall, it's broken down in to smaller sub-regions, which make it feel small. The graphics could also be better, but they are servicable and much better than the majority of MMORPGs.

The world is huge, and beautiful, and runs great most of the time. Most of the voice acting is very good, some of the quests are interesting and very well written, lots of quests are just kind of "there" being typical MMO variety. Combat is fast and fluid, fun. 3rd/1st person both entertaining. Finally starting to feel some challenge in combat at level 14+. Crafting seems interesting, I like the research system, hirelings, etc. Dungeon was a lot of fun, chaotic compared to a WoW type dungeon, really hard to "tank" big groups so lots of kiting and crowd control, which is fun. PvP was a blast. Massive in scale, hundreds vs. hundreds easily. Performance was mostly great, some moments when rushing into a keep after the door breaks down that the sound would get a little glitchy and the frame rate would drop. Sometimes feels like the run back to battle after a death is too long, but encourages you to play smarter and play with others. I love the siege mechanics, but they need independent camera control for aiming - don't set up under a tree or you'll never see what you are hitting! Value is great, B2P and nothing in the cash shop screamed "must buy p2w." I bought a month's sub just to get a horse and I figure the first month will be the make/break for the game, so why not? The community is mixed, haven't run with too many randoms, but people in the world generally are helpful on boss monsters and events. People will rez you in PvP if they have the shards. I hate the automatic join into area voice chat - it's usually pretty awful so the first thing I do when logging in is turn that off. Guild/friend functions are there, both those and other things like Mail are buried too far under menus. Inventory system is crap. Too much junk, too many limitations, the little ! when you have something new drives me insane. No idea on the customer service, haven't had to mess with them yet. Still plenty more ESO for me to play, but I am liking what I am seeing. Best new MMO I have played in a long while. Mon Jun 29 2015 2:53PM

PascalC writes: Too heavily instanced for me. Solo game, bored quickly, storyline is not interesting. houses and dungeons are always the same (pure paste copy) Graphics are beautiful. RVR is not bad, kind of DAOC/WAR lite. not bad, but not a great mmo. Sat Jun 13 2015 8:13AM
