Elder Scrolls Online News - Thieves Guild DLC - First Info Revealed

Posted by Suzie Ford on Jan 20, 2016  | Comments

Elder Scrolls Online players have a lot of excellent new content to look forward to when the Thieves Guild DLC rolls out later this year. To get players excited about it, devs have released some teaser information.

Players will be able to join the legendary Thieves Guild for the first time in ESO's history, with much of the action taking place in a new zone called Hew's Bane. Like Orsinium, the location will be open to all character levels. The Thieves Guild is located in Abah's Landing on the southern end of Hammerfell.

Members of the Thieves Guild can look forward to new criminal activities in which to participate, a new passive skill line, special costumes and item sets reminiscent of the group and more.

Content in the Thieves Guild DLC will spread tendrils throughout the rest of the game world and will feature hours of game play including a new, challenging 12 player trial called Maw of Lorkhaj.

In addition to the above that will be featured in a paid DLC (or free to subscribers), all players will see the following updates in the base game:

  • 64-bit Mac and PC clients
  • improvements to grouping incentives and cross-alliance grouping
  • new combat and balance changes
  • scrolling combat text
  • improvements and updates to Cyrodiil's campaigns
  • improved facial animations for Mac users
