No reason for it to be anything other than a Sub fee.

F2P is not this super successful model that all the bums make it out to be. The game going F2P that was formerly subscription is a sign that it is failing.

I am more than glad to pay 15 bucks a month for a game that is maintained well and updated fairly often.

P2P doesn't make the community any more mature.

You just joined and have over a thousand posts?? You clearly have no job, so I see why your a FTP advocate. ;)

Actually im a b2p advocate but i see your p2p communities maturity levels are declining with every post you make.

I'm surprized so many want sub. Personally, I would go B2P with a cash shop. It's one of the few things GW2 got right.

Going P2P in 2013 is a huge risk, either you win it all (WoW) or you lose it all (almost everyone else).

B2P on the other hand can make even average games like GW2 financially successful, and give them time to improve even after launch.

B2P with or without cash shop. If it's another monthly sub game that converts to freemium within a year, the chances of my buying it at release plummet close to 0 unless I get to play it in beta and it completely blows me away.

That's why I'm for it. It's the analogy of a breakfast of bacon and eggs: The chicken is involved, the pig is committed.

B2P is the chicken. Sub is the pig.

How not to sell me on a game: "And most people that make it past the tutorial seem to appreciate [x game's] uniqueness, even if they don't find it fun."

Yeah. And PS: F2P is that nasty shrivelled up piece of gristle rotting under the table where your kid try to sneak it to the dog and the dog wouldn't even eat it.

If it is not sub based, I doubt I will look twice at it.

Even if it's a great game? Wow talk about being conditioned.

People want p2p and a mature community but the thought that the game will die in few months doesnt come to their mind.

Low population ruins the game, many aspects of the game fail because of this.

Speaking of dog not even eating, my cat dissapointed me the other day. Wouldn't eat friend chicken, but wanted mashed potatoes. WTF cat.

Back on subject, P2P or B2P, no F2P pretty please :)

Huge following, one server. I doubt population will be an issue for many years unless the game is just absolutely god awful.

Everyone expected Rift to go F2P 3 months after release. Nearly 2 years later it's still going strong with 8 servers, most of which are high pop with an estimated 200k subscribers. It is possible even in the F2P age.

Some folks are like Slinkies, totally useless but great fun to watch when pushed down stairs

I hope it is subscription base like most AAA MMO's.

P2P for me.

I'm poor, so to everyone saying I'm a peasent, or that I suck, well, f*ck you.

The reason I want P2P is because I like to have the possibility to attain everything in the game, it doesn't matter if the cash shop is just cosmetic, I want to be able to attain it by killing some boss, or doing a particular quest / event, or even PvP.

Games should not be about getting me to reach for my cc.

High populations of cheapskate nubs ruins games as well.

The sub model is dead, this game will be B2P.
