You will be FORCED to play a faction according to what race you want to play, you will be limited to that factions zones, PvP will be limited to contested zones. 1-50 is to get you to the "good" part of the game, the END game.  You have NO choices. The world will be made so once you blow through content, you wont be going back. These things have already been said by the Developers. This is not TES, this is DaoC 2...it even has DaoC cutesy Elves...TES elves are fugly ALIEN looking.

Also faction areas being locked will add to replayability as you will have 3 completely different pve games to experience with 100% different content, so replayability should be less of an issue here than in most themepark mmos.

This is getting repeated over and over again does not make it true.

open up all 3 areas, make 3 alts, And then you have an experience 3x the scope of what you say above!

But then the content would need to be homogenized to fit every character, rather than having 3 stories defined by faction you would be left with a one size fits all aproach, which would be less replayable than content tailored for each faction

SWTOR also went with the class/storyline/faction replayability thing to justify its design shortcomings and guess what ? Most people didn't like that or got bored and abandoned the game.

We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusion. The great task in life is to find reality.

Lol you do gain levels for talking to quest givers - speech craftAlso you gain levels for killing, how else do you kill if not using weapons or magic?

Your speech goes up when you buy/sell, bribe, persuade, or intimidate. It does NOT go up by talking to people using normal means.

Your level increases while fighting because your skill goes up, not because you killed an opponent. How much XP does a deer give you? How about a Master Vampire?

I dont see how getting xp per swing/cast is much different from per kill tbh, its still ammounts to the same thing

Getting xp from handing in quests doesnt happen in skyrim, but tbh we dont know how quests are handled here atm, it could be like skyrim, where the quest just completes and the loot and xp is gained from the journey rather than handing in

Thyats exactly how it is handled.  There are no traditional quests, what happens is you explore and find a cave or see a point of interest on your compass go there and chances there is a quest associated with it.  When you complete the quest objectives you earn the XP.

If your idea of a Sandbox is open FFA Full Loot PvP, full crafted world with minimal support for anything combat then your sandbox ideas are bad! Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Lets not say there are NO traditional quests because they probably will be but yea.. TESO will have that exploration factor too.

It was swtor's shortcomings that had people leave not the fact that you could play a jedi then a sith and have all new quests, questing in that game was the only thing about it that was considered good

And its not the same anyway because yes if you rolled one toon on each faction you wouldnt get the same quests but the quests would still envolve the exact same content 90% of the time, teso will be 100% new content because all the pve areas are faction specific, and ZOS arent saying rolling alts is part of their end game design like bioware were

I actually still like MMORPGs

You can level to max in GW2 by only crafting. Heck you could do it by only harvesting, but that wouldn't be so easy.

Maybe this post over at TamrielFoundary may help to kind of explain how leveling will be working in TES:O. I ran across this last night.

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse.

Some of that info isnt correct tho, he says spells are equipped in your hand like in skyrim and we know that isnt true
