Vindicoth writes: Graphics look great for a 2 year old game. I just recently purchased Guild Wars: Prophecies and i'm having a good time, makes it even better than its free to play monthly. Thu Jun 07 2007 2:13AM

jbsseagull writes: The first thing that drew me into this game was the artwork and the graphics, then I realized how much fun the actual game was. I think I'll be going back to GW for this. PS, Red it's me Xyco! Thu Jun 07 2007 8:46AM
fenrisblue writes: grafrics are the only thing this game has going for it really,i find hte game lacking and this clip hasnt shown me any reason to get the new expansion, but it is a beutifull game Thu Jun 07 2007 8:53AM

DKKOberon writes: Pretty....boring. Never played the game but the excitement level of this video tells me never play this game. Lousy video for promoting a game....nothing in it but pretty. Thu Jun 07 2007 8:59PM
readme writes: dkkoberon is right. if you played the game you will know there is no way to interact with the environment. Thu Jun 07 2007 9:17PM

w175jab writes: Still the normal beautiful graphics of Guild Wars... played a bit of the first... wasn't terribly impressed. C'est la vie. Fri Jun 08 2007 12:18AM
slapstik89 writes: Despite what some people say GW is in no way boring...probably just WoW fanboys. anyhoo...There's also no real point sledging GW from what you see in this video. GW:EN is an expansion ONLY unlike the other GW releases. It's primarily aimed at people who already play GW and enjoy it. Millions of people can't be wrong? Fri Jun 08 2007 5:40AM
Consensus writes: I love Guilds for the PvP. this is a PvE expansion just to link the storylines to those of guildwars2. it'll only include 50 pvp skills, worth buying? we'll see. Fri Jun 08 2007 8:17AM
XTinTioN writes: I love guildwars =) Bring more guildwars!!!! XD ye this game will totaly worth it...i have all others and i like each one equally so i like them all very much ^^ Sat Jun 09 2007 8:16AM
Suilebhain writes: Looks great. Anyone who has played GW can tell you it is not boring. Combat is fast and furious and sometimes nonstop. Gets a bit hard to find good groups but the henchman system has negated that problem to a degree. Wed Jun 13 2007 11:27AM
Elgareth writes: I played Guild Wars: Prophecies, became bored... Then came Factions, I gave it another shot, became bored again. The High End Equip and having all Skills being so important for PvP, that you have to unlock them, through PvE if you don't want to lose everytime... And PvE being utterly boring IMO, I never actually got to the PvP Content :-( When GW2 comes, with an Open World, without all those instances, I'll try it, but I'm finally done with GW. jnesmith writes: Not bad for a 2 year old game, however the game has come to rely too heavily on its graphics and sound to carry it along in the market. The PVE portion of the game is weak in storyline and adventure, essentially the standard fetch-item style of play. Hopefully this new expansion will breathe life back into the aging franchise. The video only offered some scenes of shrubbery and tunes, it would have been nice if it also showed some examples of play for us to evaluate. Tue Jun 19 2007 4:53PM
saint4God writes: Looks like a nice place, what's the interest rate for it on a 30-year mortgage? Takes more than an empty house for me to buy a game though. I'm on the fence as to whether to try this or not. Graphics look good, but mixed reactions to gameplay. A good friend said "well, it's something different when you need a change of pace" but I'd need something more beefy. I'll keep an eye out though to see if there's something in GW that would reel me in. Mon Jul 09 2007 6:11PM
nefermor writes: I got factions and tried to play this game but it feels limited and vague on how to upgrade your self. The level cap makes it really hard feel motivated as well. For these reasons I never got the other parts of the game and after rerolling a few times just left it sitting. The game communication system between players is confusing as well. If they improved on any of those things I might reconsider. Also things seem further away for some reason than I'm used to. I ended up making all my characters max size so they wouldnt look so small. It seems in order to see whats going on around me well with the view angle I had to scroll out a lot so a lot of the cool graphics were far away and I never got a chance to see a lot of it in detail. Raekon writes: I'm in Guild Wars for over 2 years now (first world preview back in 2004)and I got never dissappointed by it! All 3 chapters (Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall) are different on story, style, feel so if you didn't tried them all you can't say its not good for you only because the one you got didn't appealed you. :) The whole story is great, the cutscenes and the fact that the players characters get to be a part of the story its great, The pvp is the best you will ever find in a mmo. Many different quests, Many goodies, Henchies you can take with you, Heroes (you need nightfall to get this feature) you can unlock and get with you as your companions(customizeable with all the skills you ever unlocked under any secondary profession) and many other things! You can unlock skills for your pvp characters by playing pvp only if the pve part doesn't appeal you and all the pve missions have different objectives that let you interact with the environment aswell(use spores to build bridges, use switches, open doors, carry stuff and such). I'd say you get the trial of all 3 chapters and use it to check them all 3 out. :) Fri Jul 20 2007 5:47PM
chr1sm writes: Ok when I first purchased guild wars I was able to play it just fine and I thought it was fun. I also bought the Factions campaign, but when Nightfall was released, I was not able to play the game at all, they updated the game's requirements so much that my computer was no longer able to play any of the campaigns eventhough I never purchased Nightfall. You are basically forced to update or get a new computer every few expansions even if you don't purchase them. I have a Rank 10 account which is considerably impressive and it was basically all a waste of time since I am not getting a new PC soon and can't play. No matter what they say, customer service is simply IMPOSSIBLE to contact. This is a "free game" though, so it's not surprising. Honestly The Hall of Heroes(HoH) got pretty borring after a while and it was totally destroyed by Iway. The "concept" of this game is nice, the graphics are nice too, but it's just another grind fest. Your only options are to PvP in the same borring arenas or grind in dungeons trying to get rares. The new expansions every 6 months is the equivalent of a monthly fee, except that you pay in bulks. Very smart marketing technique. You will probably have "fun" in the begining but will then get lost in a "grind" (and there's many grinds in this game). Eventually you will realize that you are actually grinding in this game and all the expansions are really just "more of the same". This game gets old very fast once you "wake up". larmdog writes: yeah the graphics are great but i got over it when i hit lvl 9.And the bad thing about it is when u leave the city or village u cant see other players running around out there and there is only like 8 bars where u can cast spells. Sun Oct 07 2007 6:16PM
