I havn't played GW in a year or so, and I was curious if the pure PVP server was still populated or if I should just roll PVE?

What do you mean by PvP server? There never has been one.

I think you're getting confused, but to answer your question, PvP areas are very much populated.

What the hell are you talking about?

There are no PvE or PvP servers in Guild Wars oO. Basically, Guild Wars has only one world.
Are you sure you have played the game?

If you roll a PvE char, you will have access to PvE content and have to level up your character, learn skills and acquire equipment.

If you roll a PvP char, you are at max level, have all the skills/ equipment you have learned/obtained with any of your PvE chars available, can freely equip other skills and equipment by unlocking them with points you earn when you win PvP matches. With a PvP char you cannot access PvE content though.

I know there are no "Servers" but I am refering to when you create a character, you have the choice of PvE or PvP.

So, if I roll PvP I will still beable to play with the same people who are doing arena matches via their PvE character?

Yes, PvE and PvP characters can play together.

No, there is no advantage to being a PvE character. In fact, PvP characters have the advantage because they start at max level, with all skills (that the account has), and max equipment. PvE characters have to grind all of that, particularly if it's not the player's first character.

PvE players do have the advantage of having access to different armor types and weapons, but those are just for cosmetic reasons.
