A fun yet addicting Indie-MMO

This is my very first review so don't judge too harshly.
Disclaimer: The following article is the sole opinion of its author and does not represent in its thoughts or opinions. This is not an official editorial article.

Realm of the Mad God is an Action Bullet Hell Indie MMO developed by Wild Shadow Studios. It brings NES style graphics to bring a nostalgic feeling to it, sorta looks a bit like Pokemon on the Gameboy (that's my opinion) though.

The game offers a variety of classes to play, however, only 3 classes are available which is the Archer, Wizard and Priest. Priest is my favourite class so far because of his Healing Tome which is very useful when I don't have any Health Potions left, especially when I'm helping other people. Also, In order to unlock more classes you have to unlock certain achievements in the game. The other classes are Rouge, Warrior, Knight, Assassin, Paladin, Necromancer, Huntress, Mystic, Trickster and Sorcerer.

The combat is very basic yet very fun and can also be very intense because there are so many enemies shooting at you. There are Quests in this game as well but they're only boss fights really.

The game also has a Guild system which you can create one or join one. This feature allows you to gain experience and level up together and allows for a more fun experience, doing Quests (they're not really quests but that's what they call them) is also much easier when other people are helping you.

This game however has flaws to some degree or things that I don't like about the game, like any other game really.

1. When you die in this game you lose that character forever and it never comes back. But there are Ressurection Amulets which I think brings your character back to life or something. Also, any items that you stored in your vault will still be there when you create a new character which does compensate for the Die once and that's it thing.

2. There is no item shop system in this game whatsoever which I have stated in my cons, however, there is the ability to trade with other people. The trading system in this game works well and is easy to use, you just click on any player on the sidebar and it sould show the option to trade with the other player. Despite trading being easy it's also hard to aquire gold or any decent items from other people because they just want whatever you're offering but still it is very good that this game has a trading system but It would be alot better if there was an item shop in this game. I would like add one thing though. In the starting area there are items on the map that you can buy with gold, but it is really difficult to aquire gold because there are only two ways to get it. 1. Trade with other people and 2. Buy it with real money.

3. There is only one soundtrack that repeats throughout the entire time but it isn't really a big deal considering that you can turn it off in the options menu.

4. The combat is basic yet indistinguishable. For example, I played as a Warrior to try a different class. The Warrior class is not like a melee unit at all, more like a ranged unit but with shorter range. If the combat in this game was more distinguishable and more varied that would be much better.

This game despite it's flaws is a very fun, addictive, entertaining Indie-MMO. You can download it on Steam now or you can play it on the browser. The download is like 40MB's and is absolutely worth it.
