  • Forsaken Masters Announced - Hideouts, New Missions & More

    The Path of Exile site has been updated with the news of the next major content expansion. Called "Forsaken Masters", the new content offers players the chance to train with these Forsaken Masters, each with their own missions and rewards. In addition, the Forsaken Masters will assist players in finding their own Hideout that can be customized as a personal town.

  • The Karui Way, the First in a Series of Comics, Released

    Grinding Gear and Dynamite Entertainment have announced the release of the first in a series of comics designed around the as-yet unannounced Path of Exile expansion. Called "The Karui Way", the story introduces the lore behind the upcoming expansion and is for sale via digital download and later as a physical bundle complete with in-game items.

  • Graphic Novel Series Announced

    Grinding Gear Games has partnered with Dynamite Entertainment and announced a new four-issue series of graphic novels based on the lore behind Path of Exile. Of keen interest to fans is the fact that the series will reveal information about an as-yet-unannounced expansion. The first of the series is expected to debut later this summer.

  • Special Game Shop Item to Benefit Child's Play

    Grinding Gear Games has teamed up with Nvidia and Razer to host a special Path of Exile Ambush/Invasion Race that will see winners score some impressive peripherals. In addition, a special item only available for two weeks will benefit Child's Play. The Angelic Mask will be sold in the game's item shop for $5 with 100% of the proceeds being turned over to Child's Play.

    Last fall, I met with the guys from Grinding Gears games shortly before they launched their hit online action RPG, Path of Exile. Four months and five million registered players later, the team stands on the cusp of releasing their first major content update, Sacrifice of the Vaal.   • Sacrifice of Vaal Mini-Expansion Coming March 5th

    The Path of Exile site has been updated with a new post about the forthcoming mini-expansion, Sacrifice of Vaal. The content update is expected to hit live service on March 5th and will feature an expansion of the game world as well as, as the post indicates, set the pace for similar updates to arrive every four months.   • New Partner Announced for Asian Publication

    Grinding Gear has announced a strategic partnership with Garena Online to see Path of Exile published in countries throughout Southeast Asia. Garena will oversee both a Malaysian server and a server for Singapore. The closed beta for these servers is slated to begin on November 14th.
