I also want to hear how this is going. I played this 4 years ago and got a couple of jobs to the max lev (75 then) and I liked it a lot. My best friend acquired my account and stripped my char of all my belongings so there was no going back after that, however, I rolled another and was having fun in no time. I even got my LL boots all over again ;-) Sadly my wife wasn't interested in the game since she was a WoWahaulic and couldn't get into it like i was trying to after playing her game with her. I didn't enjoy that the LS i got into just wanted to use me so they could do a summoner burn party and rape my character QQ. But it sounds like you guys are wanting to actually PLAY the game and not get to the end. Her new adventures are in Rift and the game is ok, but it isnt holding my attention so Id love give this a try if you guys are doing well. RIP Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan and Paul Gray. |

Titan is locked to new characters. And Phoenix the server merging with Titan is also locked but you can pay 25 dollars to transfer to Phoenix. So if u want to be in this ls u have to pay 25 dollars or hope that the server is unlocked after the merge on may 10. But I dunno, maybe its worth 25 dollars to have a linkshell with a bunch of people doing lower level stuff. www.eorzeapedia.com Best place for ff14 info |

The intent with thsi LS was a great idea. Active as hell, people of all levels, helpful people etc. Alot of people have left, some, when the servers went down. Sadly alot of people are going back to the old ways. Sure they ll help, but I ve seen groups forming and people have been left out. As I said the intent was good, but as much as I love FFXI, theres always that part that wrecks it. Won t say much more, except the people are nice people, but I ve noticed a gap of levels, and groups already. Sync is great, but alot of people in this LS and any other get tired of doing it over and over, from what I ve seen. |

Originally posted by Soki123 That is about 90% untrue. Yes there is a gap in levels as some have chosen their classes and put the time into leveling it. Also, there was a gap in levels off the start as we had some old timers with 75+s and 90's, while the people who started fresh started from level 1. There is never a lack of help in LS, just speak up and most likely someone will volunteer, if they are not buried in something else. We don't know what you need if there isn't communication on your part with the whole. One more thing, there are many things I need done, but usually put others first and don't focus too much on myself. I get done what I need done and have a better time helping others. If you feel this way, why don't we have a talk about it ingame instead of these generic forums. I'm sure we can sort this out. |

Originally posted by Inktomi It s the already formed groups of friends that bothers me more. Sure people make good friends in these games, but I can see things forming more. I ll say no more on this subject, but as like even new released MMOs, people leave and especially in this game static groups form. The magic of this once great game is faded for me I guess, and from the linklist daily, I see alot more feel the same :( |

Soki123, I feel that your claims are unfounded and can list the reasons why to better inform the reader. Because I feel that anyone that reads this thread deserves the truth. 1) We do not do any Abyssea content. All experience is gained through partying in the older zones. From the dunes on up. We have a route that we do (the LS) as someone wants to bring up a character from 1. You should try it. 2) I have partied and helped every single member of this LS. I know where everyone is from in RL and even some of their real names. 3) We have a ventrilo and forums that are kept clean and checked daily. We have many active members involved in this LS. We all really care. 4) Yes, there is regular groups that form. That's normal. Am I supposed to wait in jeuno for a party for nostalgia? Its the entire reason why an LS is formed is to form a community. 5) EVERYONE IS WELCOME! We have a wide array of players and playable jobs. I have never excluded someone from a party due to their level or job. We just resync, move camp and make adjustments. If any one of those are not true, let me know. Because I can have over 25 people vouch that they are, because that is how it is. The truth will set you free brother, try it. Good luck to you in your travels, and if anyone wants to try us out please send me a tell for a pearl. All the best, Inktomi PS: To quote an LS member on this topic, "If you actively seek help or exp in here, you'll get help or exp." |

I would reitterate Ink's thoughts and state that what has been stated is not even close to true. The reason we have a "gap" in levels, myself included is because we recruit all levels, and some of us have staggeringly different play times than others. I don't get on as much as I'd like and so my level has fell behind, but on over a dozen occassions I've been asked by tons of our members if I needed help. Any of them would go out of their way to help someone else. Thats the fundamental part of why Reformation has become the successful linkshell it has. I've never once got the "feeling" that people are grouping off into cliq's and believe me... I've been in guilds where it was the norm, and I hated it. Please, before you start negative rumors about what we are or what we do please talk with us first. As Ink said, we could have ironed this out in game where it matters. |

I never once said people aren't helpful, they are, I said I see groups forming already. It s not false, it s been indirectly brought up. If people decide to form these said groups it's their choice, but to say it isn't happening at all, is false. |

mind providing your in game name? I'm not disagreeing that "groups" are forming. Thats usually what happens. However, if you felt like this was an issue. It would have been as easy as mentioning it in guild. I haven't been on alot lately, so I can't say you could have messaged me.. but usually when people's play times and such are the same, those same people tend to group up more often than others. Doesn't mean they aren't open to help or to group with other people. I know and have experienced what you are talking about, and I don't get that feeling here. |

I joined up with a similar group, from these same forums as well, had to quit due to lack of funds and a lack of a job -.- How is this going? Are people on at regular intervals? I would really like to jump back into an MMO, and was thinking of coming back to this. I am an old vet from way back when it first launched in NA, definetely prefer the old grind to that abyssea crap now, doesn't seem like a lot of fun to me. Just curious as to how many are on at regular intervals and if it would be worth coming back and playing. |

I'm not sure what the official account is but I know we have at least 50 members or more, and there's someone on just about all the time. |

Might be something I check into in the coming days. FFXI is still my first, and only, love of the mmo genre so getting back into it with people that are actually around would great. Server is Titan? |

To my knowledge, yes you can. That was something I thought was an absolute joke in FFXIV. FFXI used to be CC only and again, I beleive it still is. |

Yup that is the reason I did not try FFXIV because I cannot pay for the sub should they ever decide to charge for it.

Since I am on asura I am forced to wait till after the merger to see if the server opens up. This is the only way to play the game now since FFXI's game design doesnt make coming in this late level friendly. Most of the people still around have levd the jobs they want. Thats why I was forced to quit about a year ago after resubbing. Couldn't get groups when you are a fresh char so I am hoping your server opens up. I'll have a ton of free time during the summer.
