I, like so many others, am saddened about Wish being cancelled. It was really a beautifully done game, dripping of atmosphere and history. Not to mention, the music was absolutely serene and just overall, wonderfully done. These are my opinions and I fully understand that. You might of not taken the same thing away from Wish, that I did, but for me, Wish breathed new life into a tedious and cookie-cutter genre. As for why it failed, I know just as much as the next guy. Of course we can all speculate and come to the conclusion that it's because of games like Everquest 2 and World of Warcraft. If so, it only shows how players of MMO's have come to accept dumbed down, monotonous level treadmills. Maybe if the players stopped settling for less, we'd have more. I'm not going to start arguments with people who disliked Wish, that's your own prerogative. However, in my opinion, it's better to have a variety of MMO's, when it comes to atmosphere, skills or levels, crafting...etc, than to have a universal standard across the board. Sadly, that's what has happened. ~Eric Mischief. Mayhem. Soap. Mischief. Mayhem. Soap. |
