The Planetside development team is making an interesting change to the way warpgates are handled in Planetside. Instead of staying static and always linking to the same location, the warpgates will be randomized periodically from continent to continent. This will certainly spice combat up a bit, giving a reason to fight on continents that would otherwise in the past, be ignored. In addition to this, the warp gates previously linked to the sanctuary will be severed and instead replaced with "Broadcast Warpgates" (read more about these on the Planetside website, a link is provided below) which will greatly increase the importance of locked continents. One final feature in development allows a percentage of the world population to be shown in a certain region, so players will be able to know exactly how many people are in a given region.
