Sony Online has revamped the experience system in PlanetSide to give players more experience for actual kills and less for base captures and rescues. Players defending installations will also see a rise in the experience earned as a result of their actions. Nearly every weapon and vehicle also features some sort of modification - be it minor (weapon clip resize) or major (certain weapons now do aggravated damage over time).
