PlanetSide News - BFR Events Ended

Posted by Craig McGregor on Oct 26, 2004  | 0 comments in our forums

The BFR Events have officially come to a close and Planetside: Aftershock invites new players to experience first person action on an epic scale.

From October 18th through October 21, BFR Mayhem ruled the battlefield, with each Empire granted unrestricted access to the experimental robotic killing machines, largely with unpredictable and sometimes fatal results.

Then on October 22, each empire uncovered shocking information which revealed that capturing facilities within the Auraxian caverns of Core Combat granted stability to the unpredictable machines. It was during this time that large artifacts called monoliths mysteriously appeared on each continent in quick succession. The Empires discovered that whoever controlled the greatest number of monolith crystals could attain BFR "attunement" with the least number of captures required. The Race for Mechanical Resonance was on! :

October 22 through October 24: From Victor Wachter, Community Relations

Manager: "In the race for BFR Technology, all three Empires fought massive battles across the world of Auraxis, jumping from continent to continent in rapid response to Monolith spawns. The stakes in this battle would be high.

Each soldier knew that meant that victory would mean an era of technological superiority over their foes.

The prize for the Empire that won this event was shortened BFR acquisition imprinting, with the first place Empire winning the opportunity to imprint after 4 Cavern Captures, the second place Empire would gain the chance to imprint after seven Cavern Captures."

Final Score:

Now the BFRs are stable and awaiting their new masters. The battle to control the caverns of Core Combat have begun once more.

Mount up soldier!
