Hey, i played PS years ago and then i also played when they had that Reserves thing going on... i can honestly say Planetside is the best online game i've ever played and i can't understand why there aren't more massively multiplayer action games like it!

Has anyone played anything like Planetside lately that i should know about? I'm itching to get some action and take a break from tedious quest-based faggotry.

I hear WWII online is like it, also Darkfall if you believe in it...I guess we will find out in a month. But, why not continue on playing Planetside if you like it so much?

SOE doesn't support my credit card . I couldn't see any other way to pay for a subscription but if anyone knows of alternate method then i'll be straight back on PS!

You could play any of the BF games for a somewhat similar experience. Though, nothing really replaces PS. PS is PS. The closest really for me was maybe... well, nothing really. Maybe, if it's the teamwork you like try World In Conflict or any other games that need teamwork to succeed.

I actually find Warhammer to be the most similiar to Planetside.  Planetside was extremely original, unfortunately theres nothing really close to it.  However, you can get some of the same PvP satisfaction from Warhammer

I really hope some new Planetside style genre games come out. I really do.

The closest thing to PS is the BF series of FPS games.   Unfortunately, there is nothing that can replace PS because PS is PS and no other games currently on the market play like it.   ::sigh::  I use to play PS religiously...and I do miss it.  I have even recently thought about going back for a bit.    I really wish SOE would make a PS 2.   Only this time make it better with randomly generated maps, some more fluff, and maybe a little PvE stuff thrown in.    Game would rock!

I never usually complain on companies delivering a product, as a consumer I can just stop using it if I do not like it anyways, but I am note sure I would like SoE to handle a Planetside 2 game. Just a hunch tho, I have no data to build my reasonings on.

I recently suckered back into to trying it out again for a bit... Still the same old dead populations around and either the hardcore pwning or the not so hardcore getting sandwiched and eating alive.  It's a really sad tale, I made many good friends in this game and lots of good game memories.
