    • Lovely Piratey Goodness! Sure it has flaws, but there's nothing else quite like it.

    • Pirates i'm able to say is probably one of the worst MMO's i have played in recent times. The gameplay is slow, the quests are very repetitive (placing you in the same enviroments and the same looking cities constantly, on top of that there is no challenge at all. PVE seems not to have been polished or catered for at all. PVP can be even worse. The sole point of PVP is to sit outside grinding a port for 12 hours until it's placed in contention, and you do this by attacking shipping that comes out of the port. When you are in a Red Zone ( a contention zone) the battles are so slow with other players and clearly unbalanced (when it comes to pirates) that if you do start winning (IF!)then the pirates simply turn and run and you can't catch them. This game overall is unbalanced in favour of pirates (And they plan to unbalance them even more so) slow, boring, unfinished and needs a hell of alot of work on it. Unenjoyible and a waist of a wage. Don't buy it.

    • One of the worst games you're likely to come across this year. Everything is broken.., PvP needs to be financed by PvE grinding. PvE missions take you into PvP zones where high level ganking gangs get their kicks killing low level players who have no chance of fightiong back. The economy is a joke. Nothing good to say really.

    • Could be a great game but FLS and Telstra have ruined their chance to be successful in Australia by squandering their opportunity to advertise. The Telstra shops don't even know they have the disks and they are not in any magazines that actually matter. Compound that with the fact that they refuse to patch us to the level that the European or American servers are at, and they don't even host the Australian server in Australia. A great game spoiled by mismanagement. For shame FLS!

    • This is a great game. I wish as always that they would lower the monthly fees just a wee little bit, but the game play and ship combat is excelent. I have not been in the pvp yet, mainly because I don't want to lose my ship yet!!!

    • The graphics are nice but not good.. the mirroring effect in the sea is not even close to how things are in reality. Several other things as well make the graphic not doing well in potbs. Sound and music is better than graphics in this game and creates good atmosphere. as for role playing I give this game a medicore score since it is very much up to people to role play. the majority on the servers don't role play and have silly names and makes this section suck but it does it in most of the mmorpg's, but when I play with friends it's good rpg going on. Alltough my negative critic to the game it has is good value a tad too expensive I think. It should be much less to pay. The sea battles is not very realistic the old sea dogs beat this game by far which is kinda annoying that an oldie beats a new game. Seems like all new games can't really get it what was good in other similar games. This game is great fun playing with friends.. solo... yawn.. Community is not good people are very reluctant to help if you got any questions and more or less spamming the chat with nonsense. The game perform well on my computer and my experience with lag is only when my line sucks. Customer service I haven't tried yet since I haven't had serious issues to bring up....yet.. :) I was a huge fan of the single player game Sea Dogs which is a much better game conserning realism even tho the graphics are a little out on date this is a good game if you're looking for good naval combats with realism to it and want to play alone.

    • Nothing more than an average game. Slow paced. Poor content... It has potential though. If you prefer a sandbox game play eve online, it has also pirates, its just not in the sea.

    • Gets old fast. Starting characters from different nations don't change anything you get the same series of quests, very poor content.
