IGN has a new Pirates of the Burning Sea Blog called The Rum Diary.

Flying Lab Software is holding a contest, which ends tonight, where players can earn 30 days of free game time by running through basic tasks on Pirates of the Burning Sea's Tesbed server.
As you know, one of the ways we use Testbed is to help nail down difficult bugs, or to make sure that our fixes for certain problems have worked. Our players are an invaluable part of that process.
We know it isn’t always fun to run through the very early stages of the game over and over. Since that’s what we need people to do for our current testing effort, we’ve decided to make things a little more interesting. If you run through the basic tasks that new players of Pirates of the Burning Sea usually complete, you could win 30 days of free play time!
