Just curious if they added a free trial yet or not ?

It's kind of obvious that they will, if they haven't.

Yes thers actually a 7 day trial (THEIRS A CATCH) if you start it up and like the game you have to uninstall it entirely and buy the game, because the trial is only for the australian server (Bigpond) and is completly seperate from the SOE client and the USA/EURO Servers. So go ahead and try the trial at www.bigpond.com.au then go to games and you will see it. Just remember " DO NOT "Subscribe to them or you will be stuck with the australians which have a 15 hour time difference then us americans and euros.

Well yes and no,

*You dont get a free 30 day subscription like you do with the regular version

*The subscription rate cost more (16$ a month)

* Your locked into one server: which means your locked into one nation, which means if you dont like the other people playing theres no way to get away from them.

*15 hour time difference, you will not see anyone on unless your on from 3am-8am(EST) which reflects to 6pm-11pm in aussie (prime time hours)

*The population on this single server is extremely low

*Different Patching schedule, the aussie server recieves patches days after the regular version has recieved patches.

Overall its just not a smart idea to stay with bigpond, try the game, if you like it than uninstall and get the regular version.

Exactly what I did, and I'm glad I did. Probably wouldn't be playing the game now if I didn't try the free trial there.

By all means, try it out, but if you like it, don't stay on the Aussie server. Besides, I don't think you can subscribe to Bigpond if you're not in Australia. I  clicked on the 'subscribe' link on their page, just as a goof, and it told me I couldn't access it because I didn't have an Australian IP address.

Ask someone if you can use their "let a friend play for 14 days" key?

Old Skool Ultima Online Junky
Bring back the OLD UO so I can play again

Ya I'll never spend 50 bucks for a game again without trying it.  Anyone have a buddy key they don't mind giving away? My e-mail is jonsnow13@yahoo.com

One thing that has not been mentioned is that when you go to the site and try to get the trial and are from anywhere but Australia, it will give you a message saying your IP is not an Australian registered IP and it is only for Aussie customers.

This happened to me, if others got around it, I am curious as to how...

*Update*

Sorry Lethal...you already mentioned it
