Glitch was a quirky, free-to-play web-based MMO from Tiny Speck. Players could collaborate and compete with each other in building the game's evolving, persistent world, learning new skills while experiencing Glitch's unique and original art style. The game was shut down in December of 2012.
It appears that an all volunteer group calling themselves "Glitchen" are working with original developer Tiny Speck to see the game brought back to life under a new name, "Eleven". According to Eleven's site, the Glitchen will use the released code and additional tools presented to them by Tiny Speck.

Tiny Speck has announced that Glitch will be permanently shutting down on December 9th, with forums available through the end of 2012. According to the official post, Glitch did not attract a large enough audience to become financially viable thus leading to the closure.
