Endless Ages News - New Updates

Posted by Craig McGregor on Aug 11, 2005  | 2 comments in our forums

Avaria has posted some recent news which highlights the many changes they have made to Endless Ages:

Hello everyone!

We have been very busy since the last news update getting our new technology in top shape for you all. As you may have noticed we did in fact miss our initial release date, but needless to say for very good reason. We would like to make sure that this update will be as solid as humanly possible before we release into an open beta test phase. The wait will be well worth it, and while we would like to not set anything in stone it is looking like it may take another week at the earliest. This is to ensure that there are not any huge hang-ups the second we go live! We have been doing all we can to add addition content to the game for its release, which I wish to outline here for you.

Firstly, we have added a +Weapon system. This system has the ability of taking previously low level items and giving them an advantage so great that everyone will want to use them. The + system works the same as many desk top role playing games, meaning that a weapon with + damage will have an added damage bonus. This should make pvp a very interesting task as while someone may have a weapon you know, the damage output might not be what you expect! Along with these + weapons, we have brought back all of the none used melee weapons back into the game! You've been asking for them for some time now, and we have been listening. They are back, and better than ever! There are also a few rare, and VERY difficult to obtain weapons that will be found by the few, the proud, and the extremely lucky.

What was previously brought up in the forums as purely jest has been put into the game due to the extreme amount of requests for it. Boomtown has been given tour rides! You have the choice to hop on a pirate ship and take a ride around the rivers or take a ride in a blimp and get a spectacular aerial view of our newest additions to the community hub of endless ages that boomtown has become.

Lastly, a new user interface is being put into endless ages to update the look and the feel of the game! You can check out the screenshots below for examples of the blimp as well as the new user interface below!

I would like to extend a very special thank you to our phase 1 and 2 testers for their hard work and diligence with helping with quest updates and bug testing. They are a very valuable asset, and we are very grateful to have these individuals within our community that are willing to sacrifice their personal time on a completely volunteer basis.
