Endless Ages News - Next Update on Horizon

Posted by Craig McGregor on Feb 22, 2005  | 0 comments in our forums

Avaria has just informed us about many new updates heading to Endless Ages.  A summary of them is below:

Hello everyone, great things are on the horizon as we push closer to our next update. Along with the previously scheduled items mentioned in the last posting, we have some unscheduled updates to go with them!
  • Collision: BedBug has done a massive overhaul on the collision system, this will cut down on 99.9% of the clipping through walls within the game, not only on the player side, but on the AI side as well! This also will keep AI from shooting at you through walls ( unless they are allowed to of course ). This new collision system will also feature a new four point collision system, which gives us the ability to have better, more reactive vehicles, which leads me to the next update!
  • Vehicles! There will be at least one new vehicle in the coming updates, and with the new technology we have developed, it leaves room for reactive elements such as tired, suspension, momentum, and everything you love about cars! ( Just imagine jumping your brand new car off a cliff, but now having your momentum carry you forward like it should! )
  • Newbie Zone: The updated newbie world is coming dangerously close to testing now! We will begin the testing in a closed stage, and migrate to an open testing of the newbie zone as well as the remade old world. Stay tuned for information on when, and how to test.
  • Old world quests: All of the quests in the old world are being re-done, this should fix a lot of the current problems with quest breakage.
The future is looking bright for endless ages, and it can only get brighter! Will you be on board when all these changes and more happen?
