Endless Ages Overview and Recent Content

Endless Ages was a 3D MMOFPS combining fantasy and sci-fi elements. Endless Ages placed the player into a world that begins after the character's own death and subsequent arrival on a planet called Iia, which serves as the land of the afterlife. Iia experiences time very differently, in a much quicker fashion, so many people, inventions, and creatures that were never on Earth at the same time exist together on this planet.

The game had quests, PvP, and safe zones for player interaction and roleplay within its vast terrain. There were many different lands and sub-lands, each with their own characteristics, across the world to explore and inhabit. Endless Ages only had four playable races, each with basic characteristics - Humans (male or female), Amphibians, and the giant race, Bloblics. Each character has race-based advantages and disadvantages to certain skills among the game's many offerings.

Unlike most RPGs, the game did not feature much of a storyline or central quest arcs, so the focus tended toward the struggle for control among the warring sides against the mobs that occupy the game's many lands. Player housing did exist in the game's earlier form. Endless Ages was sold by its original team to Rapid Reality Studios, which subsequently went under in 2007. The game relaunched in 2008 as Endless Ages Reborn, but has since been canceled again and the IP once again offered for sale. Rapid Reality developed a sequel to Endless Ages, Phylon, which was released in June 2007 and shut down mere weeks later in August.
