    The Diablo III team is kicking up the information release for the Reaper of Souls expansion, due out in Spring 2014. A new blog post, "Westmarch Level Design", has appeared on the official site and it gives players a good look at why the look and feel of the region was chosen, as well as a sneak peek into mini-dungeons sprinkled throughout the area.

  • Real Money & Gold Auction Houses to Be Removed

    Blizzard has announced that it will be removing the gold and real-money auction houses from Diablo 3. According to a post on Battle.Net's D3 site, the implementation of Loot 2.0 should eliminate the need for players to have to rely on the auction house to be 'successful' in the game and give them the opportunity to find their own gear.

    Blizzard has chosen a classy path to take care of the recent Diablo III auction house upheaval due to an exploit found after the release of the v1.08 patch. Rather than a wholesale rollback of the servers, ergo penalizing all players, the team has opted to remove the 415 players utilizing the exploit and will donate any profits made to charity.
