This happen to any of you guys out there ? It seems it is getting really bad, the lag that is.

At least it's not as bad as it was in Diablo 2. But yeah, that's why I never played hardcore again after losing 2 paladins to huge lag spikes.

yeah, my friends lost a few chars due to DC or lagspike.. I have been lucky so far

I'm not sure why this makes me chuckle, but it does. I think it's just people playing hardcore characters, knowing that this will eventually happen. It's not even a 'maybe'. It will eventually happen to your hardcore character.

I just want to shake my head and with a smile, say, "Shine on you crazy diamonds!"

Indeed, the internet is not a 100% stable environment. This kind of risky character development being done online is a sure loss simply because of that, it's like indefinitely against the casino house.
