Seems like the online mode makes the game unhackable, WE're 3 weeks after release, and still the PC game isn't hacked. THats to be considered a victory? But at what cost?
Personally i am not going to buy D3 untill i can play the game offline, Why? Because i allways play MMO's when online, and at those times that i cant access internet on buisness travels and the like, i want to play an offline RPG from time to time to ease my mind. This is where D3 fails for me. But many others that normally play hacked versions of the game allready have purchased the game by now, killing the server performance and generating errors.
So despite the fact that its proven that games with an online mode are severely (every game cracker must be trying to hack the game right now) hard to crack and hack, who will follow blizzard on this trail seen the comments on the server troubles. Personall i thinks that Blizzards bad implementation of server stabillity and their logon problems will withold any other comapny from doing this in the years to come.

*Yawn* Where have you been? Servers are pretty much stable...the AH commodity section being down is what is bothering most players. |

Well there actually are hacked servers already made. As far as I heard most of them are just being cheked and stabilized by now. Getting a "online only" mode might stop hackers but not in this case. I do hope that this doesn't continue as a thrend. |

I have a couple friends playing on U.S. servers because they are in the U.S. They are having no issues. Literally no issues. Whatever issues exist, they are probably not widespread and they certainly are not global. Join the League For Gamers. |

Why do people keep thinking D3 is a SPG like its predecessors? It's not. The game was designed with coop in mind. The online only isn't a tacked on "security feature" of the game. Its designed around play off of Blizzard servers. There will never be an offline mode. Get over it and move on. |

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus What do you mean it is not hacked or 'unhackabe'. There are pirate servers already (stay away !- their clients propably injected with trojans and keyloggers) + there were alot of accounts hacked. I personally know 3 ppl that already had their D3 account hacked.
So I am kinda at loss what are you talking about? |

The OP seems reasonable, until someone points out that D3 is an online game, the same way that battlefield 1942 is an onine game, or Day of Defeat is an online game. Even better. I'm curious how many people play league of legend, and then say they won't play D3 because it's online only. It's only rational to assume that the OP also made a post in the League of legend forums stating that they won't play it until it's got offline play. Saying you want to play D3, but not until it has an offline mode, is the equivelant of soemone saying they refuse to play the new battlefield games because they have a single player campaing and offline play, just because the original games were strickly online. D3 is an oline game. Just because the previous games weren't doesn't mean that D3 is required to be offline as well. I do not understand this sense of entitlement that people have. MMO's are not the only games designed to be played online, nor have they ever been. Whether people like it or not, D3 is an online game; you've got to learn to live with that. |

Accounts are getting hacked actually for so many unknown reasons. The fact that there are a number of intelligent users reporting these things that normally would never have this problem is proof enough of something greater. To say this game hasn't been hacked after all those reports is bogus lol. This is the biggest target right now on any hackers radar! Does anyone seriously think that there aren't any braniac kids out there finding ways to crack even this system? I have never seen a game that was perfectly safe from hacking or ever was. There will always be loop holes when multiple programmers are putting together the code for one thing or another. Defense =< Offense (As time has proven lol) |

Lol, the files for the game have been in circulation since before they even launched it. Emulators didnt take very long to get setup either. If not for it being Blizzard's new baby, and their rep for going after private servers with all their money & lawyers, my business partner would be running a server for us right now. |
