  • v2.4 Review - Fun But Flawed

After spending several hours exploring the new update, the question becomes what 2.4 brings to the average Diablo 3 player: A lot of lag for console players from what I understand. I play on PC so I have not experienced this, but there have been wide reports by players on all available consoles that this is a huge problem. Beyond that, there are a lot of things that are pretty fun, but outrageously frustrating at times as well.

  • That's Not an RPG! 2016 Edition

It’s a new year and that means it’s time to return again to a question we first posed last year: What exactly makes an RPG? As different genres appropriate more staples of the roleplaying genre, the waters continue to get muddier and muddier. Is Fallout 4 an RPG, for example? How about Destiny? Let’s break down exactly what makes an RPG in 2016.

Plus Marvel Heroes gets a new endgame mode, Elite: Dangerous gets planetary exploration, Diablo 3 takes on a new form of narrative, and more!

  • Activision-Blizzard Once Again Holding News Headlines Hostage

Activision Blizzard is once again holding the news headlines hostage, between Black Ops 3, WoW subscriber news, the latest expansion, Hearthstone, Overwatch, the film studio, the Warcraft film, Blizzcon, and of course the quarterly finance releases you all love to pour over, but what is really turning heads and inspiring groans from the Blizzard base is the news that the developer publisher is acquiring King.

  • Next Update, New Content & More - D3 Blizzcon Wrap Report

On the second day of BlizzCon 2015, we sat down with System Designer Joe Shely and Senior Level Designer Matthew Berger to go over the particulars of Diablo 3's upcoming big patch, 2.4. Starting off, Berger discussed the new zone, the Eternal Woods, featuring roaming yetis. He added that the royal manor of King Leoric would finally be available to players now that the cultists have moved away from the entrance.

  • Blizzcon 2015 Wish List

Every year that Blizzard has conducted a Blizzcon, millions of fans have deeply sighed at the ceiling in contemplation of what they might hear about their favorite titles. This year, dewy eyed fans are hoping their dreams come true in any one of Blizzard's stable of games: World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone or Heroes of the Storm.

  • Tidbits & Teases - Leah, Cain & the Cube

Blizzard is pretty cagey when it comes to the release of information about its games but we managed to corner the team behind Diablo III to find out a few interesting tidbits of information about the game's lore and the recently released Kanai's Cube.

  • Latest Update is a Game-Changer (in a Good Way!)

Fast forward to today, and we have the recent deployment of the v2.3.0 patch that is the largest to date and one that is packed with a new location, a new season tracker and Kanai’s Cube, a modernized version of Diablo 2’s Horadric Cube. What it all comes down to is that this is the meatiest, game experience patches in D3’s history, short of the RoS expansion itself.

  • I’m Glad I Waited for the Expansion

Having a ton of games to play is certainly a boon, but it usually means that I’m late to the party on the newest gaming hotness (unless that hotness is an Elder Scrolls game). In the case of Diablo 3, I’m actually kind of glad that I missed the boat on launch and waited until the Reaper of Souls release, because I skipped past the whole RMT Auction House and loot kerfuffle and am now enjoying a super polished and fun Blizzard game.

  • Patch 2.0.1 - A Whole New Way to Play

Last week, Blizzard released the 2.0.1 patch for Diablo III. While it has been in development for a long while, the team behind the update has been relatively quiet leading up to its release. It might be a good guess that the developers of this patch wanted to virtually 'see' players' faces on seeing all that had changed.

  • The Ultimate Evil Edition Is the Ultimate Edition

It feels weird to say it, but I think the most recent release of Diablo 3, The Ultimate Evil Edition, to PS4 and Xbox One just might be the best version of the game out there. Not only does it come with all of the content and improvements the PC version has already seen, but there are a load of cool console-only features to boot. Oh, and what’s best? You don’t have to experience any of it online.

  • Hands-On with the PS4 Version

Although I really enjoy Diablo 3, I must admit that I have a particular bias towards the PC version, simply because of my preference for playing action RPGs with a mouse and keyboard. I play it almost exclusively multiplayer, however, and have thought at times that the experience could benefit from some couch co-op once in a while.
