Certainly only my opinion here folks.

I was bored earlier browsing Twitch.tv and came across a guy playing SMITE.  I watched him play a couple matches then said to myself hey that looks pretty cool.  $20 bucks later I was in and having a blast.  So far I only have 3 games under my belt but the game is very fluid and skills across the various characters I have tried are cool.

Also got 3 friend codes to give out to my friends which was a bonus I wasn't expecting.  $20 impulse buy for a 3rd person MOBA game for me and 3 of my friends - good deal in my book.

Is it worth $20 right now?  Hard to say, for most people probably not.  But $20 for hours of entertainment for me and some buddies is a good deal in my book.  Pretty much anything outside in the RL would cost more than that.

I've played about 15 games and am still loving it :D, sun wukong is the shizzz haha.

Five games in, five games won and loving it. Gotta say, the 'novice matches' give you some downright bad teamups. We even won one game 3vs5.

Enjoying the game a lot, it's the first MOBA game that hooked me. I've tried both HoN and LoL, but for some reason they never stuck. I'm loving me some Smite though.

Agree, this has a more hands-on feel. I gave it a go only because of Tribes Ascend, and gotta say it looks promising.

The game is free - the $20 is a special right now to get a bunch of champions at a discounted price + instant beta access.  Once the game goes live that special will go away and players will need to grind favor (in-game money) for the champs or spend a bit more real cash for the same champions.  All in all not a bad deal for $20 though.

Haven't played anything in matches but Sun yet, he is amazing, tho.

Where do you guys get the $20 deal from? All I see are 8, 15, 25, and $50 packages.

The $20 deal is no longer available. You will want to get the $25 to get the same amount of gods (10), otherwise you can get the $8 just to get into the beta. I ended up doing both.

The money you spend will transfer once the game officially releases, so you don't have to worry about spending money and losing it.

Great game yeah. Will be better when they start banning repeat leavers cause right now it's kind of the wild west, people leaving games left and right - gets really annoying after a while.

Also I can't wait for the ranking system to be implemented, these MOBAs get boring real fast without some sort of ladder, to me anyways.
