  • Combating Bots with Skill Node Changes

    Cryptic Studios has implemented a series of measures to combat botting in Neverwinter. A new post today indicates that another action will be implemented soon. Based on community feedback, refinement item drops will be removed from all skill nodes. According to the post, Enchantments and Runestones will become more available through an increased drop chance from creatures throughout the game world.

  • 60 to 70 Leveling Path to Become Less Grindy

    A short post has been published on the Neverwinter site that should be encouraging to those in the level 60-70 range. In it, the team acknowledges that the leveling experience in this range is too "grindy" as compared to the experience of 1-60. As a result, several key changes will be implemented soon.

  • Application Of The Nerf Bat - Power & Balance Changes

    Cryptic Studios developers have posted an extensive description of forthcoming powers and balance changes, most notably to the Oeathbound Paladin and Devoted Cleric. This is the first round of changes with several more classes going "under the knife" soon.

  • Portobello's Campaign Arrives

    Cryptic Studios has partnered with Dungeons & Dragons' Chris Perkins to bring Portobello's Campaign to Neverwinter. The new content seeks to bring a D&D tabletop experience to Neverwinter that has been inspired by the Acquisitions campaign. Portobello's Campaign will run through April with a new trial each week: Trial of Traps, Artificer's Workshop, A Rock Falls and Strange Things at the Burrow Dawn Inn.

  • New Mount Management Tools & Insignias

    The Neverwinter site has a new blog that should be of keen interest to the discerning mount collector in the game. In a future update a new sub-tab will become visible on the Character screen that will allow players to manage all of their mounts in the Stable and add / eliminate any insignias equipped by them.

    The Neverwinter blog has been updated with a new post to inform players about the return of several dungeons in a new, revamped style. Players will be happy to hear that Cloak Tower, Pirate King's Retreat (formerly Lair of the Pirate King), Frozen Heart, and Caverns of Karrundax will all be reappearing with more streamlined game play and better rewards that extend all the way to those on the top end of the game.

    Cryptic Studios has announced the release of the eighth expansion to Neverwinter. Players can now check into the game and journey into the mysterious Underdark, home of the Drow.
