  • In Defense of the City

    Neverwinter is under siege by the Cult of the Dragon recently introduced in the Tyranny of Dragons module. A call has been sent out to all Neverwinter players to gather to defend the city against her enemies. From September 18-25, 2014, players can take part in saving the city on the new Siege Battleground and earn some pretty awesome in-game swag as well.

  • Headed to XBox One in Early 2015

  • Dragonborn Race Coming in August

    Perfect World has announced that a new race will be introduced into Neverwinter on August 14th. The Dragonborn race will be coming to the game in the Dragonborn Legend Pack that will also feature several items of particular use to the race. The pack will run players $74.99, $25.00 off the regular price of $99.99.

  • Developer Q&A this Friday

    The Neverwinter team will be on hand this Friday, July 18th from 5-6 pm PST (8-9 pm EST) via the game's official Twitch.tv channel. During the stream, the team will be talking about the next module and the Scourge Warlock. Players are also invited to the Neverwinter Preview server to play alongside the dev team.

  • Checking Out the Scourge Warlock

    Cryptic Studios has released a new trailer to show off the next module and the newest playable character class to be added to Neverwinter. The Scourge Warlock stars in the video and shows off the skills he/she brings to the table: Soul Puppets, debuffing enemies, and power DPS. The video also gives hints as to what players will find in Module 4: Tyranny of Dragons.

  • First Anniversary Celebrated with Protector's Jubilee

    Neverwinter is celebrating its first anniversary and Cryptic Studios is inviting players to a special in-game event called "Protector's Jubilee". During the event, the city is decorated for a celebration and the renowned Forgotten Realms wizard, Elminster Aumar, will make his appearance to join in the festivities.

  • A Bump in the Road to Icewind Dale

    When Bill, our Editor in Chief at MMORPG.com, asked me if I would mind taking a look at Module 3: Curse of Icewind Dale I told him absolutely. It had been a while since I had played, I'm still logging in daily to pray for those tokens though, but I had been looking forward to this content update and I would dive back in and take a look. When I tried to do that though I hit a little bump in the road.

    Neverwinter has been updated with the third free module, Curse of Icewind Dale. The new content brings an iconic location into the game along with open world PvP zones, Black Ice currency, Heroic Encounters, alignment with opposing factions and much more.

  • With Module 3, Level 60s Will Still Gain XP

    The Neverwinter site has been updated with a new developer blog post that lays new details about the post-60 experience gains that players will be treated to when Module 3: Curse of Icewind Dale goes live. At level 60, players will continue to gain XP but rather than gain levels, they will earn items including rough astral diamonds, a power point and enchants, among other things.

    Cryptic Studios and Perfect World Entertainment have announced that the next Neverwinter module, Curse of Icewind Dale, will be released on May 14th. The new module brings a new zone, a new currency resource, two competing factions and much more into Neverwinter.

  • Respen’s Marvelous Game Incoming

    Neverwinter players will have the opportunity to partake of Respen's Marvelous Game from April 1st-4th. It's way too hard to explain, so the official word will instead: Respen's Marvelous game is "a digital game version of a tabletop game based upon the real world tabletop game that the digital game they are currently playing is actually based upon."
