Been curious on this.

Remember back when it originally wasnt going to be a MMO, before PW took control of things and said they were making it into a real MMORPG instead of the original CORPG?

Well between the two designs, what the major differences that has set the two apart?

More than likely the only difference is the amount of money they plan to make.

Its perfect world which means its gonna be free 2 play. The money they get will be cash shop money. Id say the diffrence is instead of just a lobby based game with 4 or 5 man groups . U can have a persistant world with lots of players in one zone at a time.

they probably added some other elements as well but taht may be the main diffrence.

The difference?

One was a great game.

I am no longer responsible for anything my phone decides is correct in the way of word choices and punctuation.

We live in a fantasy world, a world of illusion. The great task in life is to find reality.

No one knows except for the developers but if I was to bet the things different would include:

  • No persistent zones like the Orc area or the Graveyard, Neverwinter city itself was the only persistent area
  • Little to no solo support (could be wrong about this)
  • No Auction House and no mailbox
  • No Astral Diamond support (everything was likely though Zen)
  • Little to no Group role support, would imagine classes like the Cleric and Guardian were quite different

If your idea of a Sandbox is open FFA Full Loot PvP, full crafted world with minimal support for anything combat then your sandbox ideas are bad! Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

Yea think God they saw fit to inlcude MMO elements to turn that mediocre game into the great game you speak of.  That co-op crap would of been a disaster and failure.
