So, I am quite eager to find out more about this game as it goes through developement. I loved DnD based PC games from the past and have somewhat high hopes for Neverwinter online.

I am however having a problem identifying the combat style that will be present in game. I have watched the MMORPG 8 min developer video but I am confused on how the combat really appears to work. There is no lock on targeting from what I see. So wherever your character faces is what your attacking? Seems like a recipe for problems.

Is the combat turn based factoring in initiative type rolls? Or is it action focused, such as  you move to dodge or jump to initiate a special attack move?  I suppose it may be too soon to say for sure but  the developer video really only succeeded in confusing me as far as combat is concerned.

Any ideas on what you think combat will be come release?

Why is it that fantasy trolls are vulnerable to fire, but internet trolls thrive on flame wars?

Judging from what I saw of the PAX video, combat is going to be action oriented with some targeting, like RaiderZ or TERA.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?
