  • RUMOR: Ready for F2P? Boxes Taken From AU Store Shelves

    In a near repetition of the Elder Scrolls Online phenomenon several months ago, Australian retailers have pulled boxed copies of WildStar from store shelves. According to Games.On.Net, both EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have removed all copies of the game, fueling rumors that Carbine Studios and NCSoft may be ready to announced a move to a free to play revenue model.

  • Initialization Core Y-83 20-Player Raid Revealed

    In a new WildStar developer blog penned by Tom "Hildogen" Cassera, the first 20-player raid coming in the Invasion: Nexus update has been revealed. Called "Initialization Core Y-83, the raid will not require attunement but will have an optional "prologue" quest to set the stage.

    The WildStar site has been updated with a new blog post that details forthcoming changes to the game's PvP. Players can expect to see daily, weekly and random PvP events. The team also has plans to add same-faction battlegrounds, PvP contracts, new gear, and prestige purchase power. Lastly, before the end of the year, PvP Season 2 will kick off.

  • Creating Veteran Shiphand Missions

    The WildStar site has been updated with a new blog post by Kristen "Caydiem" DeMeza, Senior Game Designer. In it, she discusses Veteran Shiphand Missions, previously more suited to lower level players. The team has been actively working to put together level 50 versions of these missions and DeMeza discusses the differences and why they are worthwhile for high level players to take on.

  • Headed to China in Late 2015 or Early 2016 is reporting that Carbine Studios has entered into an agreement with Chinese publisher, Giant Interactive, to bring WildStar in either late 2015 or early 2016. The announcement was made by Giant's president in a recent interview.
