This info make's me wonder if they may go the TSW path and be btp,but offer a sub with benefit's and also offer new content pack's(dlc) as you go.Interesting.

How often will it occur... Are we talking DLC is $10/20/30 a hit? This is why I wish games had subs... I don't think there is any information on how much the in-game currency conversion is going to be.

A lifetime DLC pass would be pretty useful assuming you trust that the game sticks around and it includes expansions to but if it's only for a year than it might be less useful. I'm glad it's not sub because I think that would have sunk the 360 and PS versions of the game and made the PC game a hard sell but I really want to see more details on the cash shop model before I plop down any money.

A season pass makes me thing it will be for season 1 of the TV series plus any content that's is released prior to season 2. Probably not worth it without knowing how the game will turn out.

Hum, yeah "DLC season pass", what the hell does that mean, the word " season" period of time...I have no problem paying for expansions and cash shop fluff, but if content is restricted to time based fee requirements, I'm not impressed, B2P means you buy the game to be able to play the content. Then again i'll wait for a trial version heh, better safe than sorry.

Trion has 3 games, one with each model. Rift (sub), Defiance (B2P / no sub), End of Nations (F2P, according to them). They want to be in all markets to have something for everyone, which is fine. I like the B2P model with Defiance, i doubt it would survive with a subscription when Firefall is Free to Play. Same game mechanics, different skin (i loved both betas so dont get me wrong). Only the tv series interacting with the game will set it apart. Cant wait for release day. Not sure which version to preorder D: probably will get PC and PS3 unless i can sync my account cross platform. "in peace, in sleep under the barren, abandoned soil"

Probably a year or one season of the show. A season pass will give you access for the entirety of the new content.
