    • ok sorry. I'm sure you put your heart into this video. but i fell asleep in the first 2 minutes. SOE is crap. and not just SWG.

    • Yea...good job on the video. As for the stuff...too bad SOE is putting in so much potentially cool stuff into this abomination of a game....I re-subbed yesterday after an absence since the launchday of NGE....cancelled the sub again today....the Frankenstein monster is a cute fluffy kitten compared to this interactive sc-fi Benny Hill show.....SWG had SUCH great potential...tsk tsk.

    • good job on the video but the one thing everyone agrees on that EVER played SWG is that it will never be the same im a vetran to swg when it first came out *the good days* but after all these mods and chances to the system you lose the fun and great experince nothing could ever compair making all these changes to add on rather to try and bring bak i bet if they tryed to bring bak more the old things while keeping the new mods in game play they would get alot better of a result to change the combat the profesions and ect...... ppl like me would come back but intill that day were i see that change i will not pay a dime to play swg bascily trying to say swg 2007 can suck itWE WANT THE OLD SWG BACK

    • see heres the thing about SOE. everquest is their baby thier prdie and joy and they will let all other games go to crap if they see anyway it will help that aging piece of crap. Dont expect alot from SOE cause they will fail to deliver every time

    • For people looking for the negative criticism, one of the guys who made this video, Durgan_Kael commented below that this particular video was comissioned by SOE and so they couldnt include negatives. This made me laugh, since SOE basically took some fans popular 'show' and used it to help market their product that is far, far away from being good. I'm surprised these guys let their show be used like this and not insist they also tell the bad side of things too. I checked out another of these guys video's on youtube, and they basically say how any good devs eventually disappear & 'get fed to the Smedly monster'. This game is dead. Go make SWG 2 already SOE!

    • I just find it funny how SOE is slowing adding content they took out in the first place.

    • OMG i puked a little in my mouh watching this.. They forgot to mention that THE CREDIT FAMRERS STRIKE BACK is the current chapter. and such a great buff system what is it up to know 36 stacked buffs? lol and the population that seems to be getting smaller and smaller! lol i remember when everyone siad dont let the door hit ya in the ass.now there asking for serv er merges.lol the game fails!

    • SOE has a tendency to lean towards more popular games. Don't expect SOE's apt and responsive service once they release a new game or more players join the rest of their games. Planetside is one of these such games deserted by SOE. Fun to the core, but lack of development and lack of concern by GM's and SOE have all but killed Planetside.

    • Well I'm having a blast with SWG, the most fun I have had since beta. I will say that some of the Vets posting here are without a doubt the biggest collection of bitter paranoid (Oh no one can like it, it must be SOE employees!!! lol) losers I have ever seen. Really get the fuck over it move on. You guys are the reason folks laugh at gamers. Oh and Biowares game isn't going to be KOTOR Online. If you want a Star Wars MMO, it's galaxies.

    • I was on Sunrunner pre-CU and Durgan Kael, at least at the time, was just a player like the rest of us. Nice video Durgan. Looks like SOE is at least trying to bring back what kept us there for so long . Shocked you are still playing after the CU! Way to go and good luck, Verdigris, Toobukoo and Hestia.
  • afoaa(posted Sat Jan 05 2008)
    • Been playing the game on and off for he past few months. Compared to pre NGE/Cu it does feel a lot more like Star Wars. But the game still feels empty at my current lvl and seeing that there apparantly is a lot of new stuff all the time one wonders why you dont get lead to it in-game but have to find out by videos like this one?
  • GGordon27(posted Fri Jan 04 2008)
    • I find it hard to believe, that these three guys are actual players of the game, let alone veterans of the Pre-CU. These guys are more than likely devs or members of SOE, and its a ploy to get players to join the game again. Perhaps SWG will be back to the way it used to be, and the servers will fill up again. Untill SOE decides to make a drastic change to the UI and to the game itself....I will not be coming back, instead, I will continue to wait for the Emu.
  • LethalWeapon(posted Wed Jan 02 2008)
    • well came back after 2 and 1/2 years, and was very excited about being back. Got used to the targeting systems and all the new things a bit, and its still not the same game. Its like wow with the leveling and cookie cutter talent point.. I mean expertise building. Even the side imbalances still exist and ruin even the servers with so little people logged on to them. Some just can't let go I guess. Oh well, so I Logged out. I'll try back in a couple more years.

    • If it wasn't Sony Online Ent... I'd play it.
  • joachimpeipe(posted Wed Jan 02 2008)
    • What an amazing video. Nicely done. I love that game, but I can't countenance paying a dime to Sony Online. Just horrible people at the top. If Sony divests and sells to another firm or fires Smedley and his cronies, I would be back in a New York minute. I think those people have the most to do with the subscriber count.
  • Luke321(posted Tue Jan 01 2008)
    • Props for video, still don't forgive SOE for CU/NGE

    • I agree with the other people who have made mention of the fact that SWG's UI is horrible and clunky and that the cheesy pictures from the original trilogy urinates all over what the game could be. I bet alot more people would come back to the game if the UI was changed ba... *cough* made new again and the cheesy pictures from the original trilogy were replaced with the old... new 3D paper dolls of your character.
  • JasPlun(posted Thu Dec 27 2007)
    • With all the good things happening in SWG the one elusive thing that needs to be addressed is the piece of crap UI .This game is unplayable to most due to the way you interact with the game. It is amazing how they can do all the new amazing things with this game but yet Leave the worst ui in mmo history in place.
  • eric1000(posted Thu Dec 27 2007)
    • Well with all the negative stuff about SWG I suppose that fanbois 'r' us had to put in an appearence somewhere. Just a hint here but if you want stuff like this to be taken seriously then be fair and unbiased, name the bad as well as the good.
  • Mordiazi(posted Wed Dec 26 2007)
    • "Where's the negative criticism?" I don't know, read the half dozen comments ahead of yours from people who don't play. I decided recently to retry it out after playing it pre-CU, and guess what? It's a great game. Not saying it's perfect, but nothing is. It's sad to read a lot of those comments, what a bunch of bitter children you all sound like.

    • Almost makes me want to reinstall and go check it out!
  • Jamkull(posted Wed Dec 26 2007)
    • only if SOE made it free to play, because I still don't see it as a game worth paying for. They need real story driven content and not in the time frame they have it all set in. you can't get a feeling you are doing something special for star wars when you're playing in a time that the story is already written. its just retarded from the word go. The game is purely one giant theme park where you run around collect stuff and doing mind numbing grinds to kill more stuff. I bet you end up having to kill 1000s of these creatures just to get one piece of what you need, that would be cliche SOE. Where's the stategy and interesting story content? rather wait and see if Bioware is planning to bring a SW mmo out.

    • Hey, just got linked here by a friend saying our video got mirrored here! Glad to see it's made it this far...more hits here than on the YouTube version, even. For those wondering, this piece was comissioned by SOE specifically for a corporate meeting after our show began gaining popularity among their dev/community teams. As a result, we don't consider it one of the "real" episodes, as, yes, we did have to focus purely on the positive and leave out the negatives. For anyone that hasn't looked at SWG recently though...negatives aside, it truly HAS changed vastly in the past year alone, and is definitely worth taking a deep look at (I believe SOE is giving cancelled accounts a two week trial for the holidays, so now's a great time to do so). For the real episodes, be sure to check out our main page on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/SLAMCentralStudios). Thanks for watching!

    • haha my old server. You know, if they keep going this way in about 4 years it should be close to pre-nge. Too bad the beast master class sucks compared to CH.
  • zensaber(posted Mon Dec 24 2007)
    • sounds like it was a good year if you look at it in a good way. Wish they would do this kind of movie for other games.
  • Asamof(posted Sun Dec 23 2007)
    • so basically they're congratulating the game for becoming even more like wow
  • jadan2000(posted Sun Dec 23 2007)
    • Yeah we did have a good year! hopefully next year will be even better!
  • Nikpmup(posted Sat Dec 22 2007)
    • New feature that will increase attributes to cloths...man thats a bit familiar...Oh wait clothing attachments and armor attachments weren't they in SWG before they ruined it??? aight cool they brought it back. Reverse engineering..hmm there something like that in WoW i think its called disenchanting. Camps system...what was that profession called back in the day. Scout and ranger what did they do??? Oh wait they could make CAMPS!!! At least they admitted they brought back Creature Handling instead of saying its *NEW*. Oh good they brought back Treasure Maps and Theme parks. hmm to think if it 90% of this video is just Reintroducing features they got rid of......SOE i hate you.
  • slannmage(posted Sat Dec 22 2007)
    • YEt they havn't sorted out the biggest issues like the run speed is too fast and getting rid of the stupid FPs style targetting system and getting rid of that ugly UI and cheesy "iconic" profession pictures.
  • DarthMaulUK(posted Sat Dec 22 2007)
    • 2007 has been a good year. Lets NOT mix Galaxies 2007 with Galaxies 2005 NGE. Its totally different.
